Fabcom GA4 Connect

An internal tool used by staff of Fabcom Communications Limited, a marketing agency in Hong Kong.

What this application does

Fabcom GA4 Connect is a feature inside Fabcom's internal staff portal. Our advertising clients grant our account managers read access to their Google Analytics 4 properties. This tool lets an account manager authorise Fabcom GA4 Connect once, so the portal can read those GA4 reports on a nightly schedule and store the numbers in Fabcom's internal data warehouse.

The stored numbers are used to build the performance reports we deliver to those same clients, so an analyst does not have to open each GA4 property by hand every week.

How it works

A Fabcom staff member signs in to the internal portal and opens the GA4 Connect page.
They click Connect and complete Google's standard sign-in and consent screen.
Fabcom GA4 Connect lists the GA4 accounts and properties that this staff member already has access to, using the Google Analytics Admin API.
Each property is mapped to a client brand. A scheduled job then reads daily report rows through the Google Analytics Data API and writes them to our warehouse.

This is a read-only scope. Fabcom GA4 Connect never creates, edits or deletes anything in Google Analytics, and never changes any Google Analytics setting or user permission.

We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service.

We need this specific scope because it is the narrowest read-only scope that supports both steps of the tool: listing the accounts and properties a signed-in staff member may see, and running the reports for those properties. A narrower scope that covers property discovery does not exist.

Who can use it

Sign-in is restricted to Fabcom staff accounts. It is not offered to the public, and there is no sign-up.
